Benoni High School Baseball player excel
Mia Cloete, a Grade-8 learner from Benoni High School, is a skilled baseball player. She is the lead pitcher for the U/16 Gauteng Angels. The team recently participated in the National Baseball Championships where they won all their games. Mia led her team to win the U/16. Championship. Gauteng Angels played against teams like Western Province and Winelands in the first ladies’ championship ever. Mia won Best Pitcher of the tournament, was selected for the All-Stars tournament and was subsequently selected for the Sa Elite Squad where she will be pitching for South Africa.
