De La Salle Holy Cross College’s Grade 4 Pupils Made Their First Holy Communion
On Saturday 9 July and Saturday 16 July the De La Salle Holy Cross College Grade 4 pupils who are Catholic made their First Holy Communion at St Charles parish church. We congratulate them on this important milestone in their faith journey and pray that Jesus will always be welcomed into their hearts.
To receive Communion is to receive the precious Body and Blood of Jesus. The Sacrament of Holy Communion was first instituted at the Last Supper, when Jesus blessed the bread and the wine and changed it into His Body and Blood. He gave this gift of Consecration to His disciples, the gift which, to this day, our priests receive when they are ordained.
