A new principal for Fish Hoek High School
We are pleased to announce that Mr Steven Joubert has been appointed as the new principal of Fish Hoek High School. He took up the position from the, 1st June 2022. We would like to extend our warm congratulations to Mr Joubert and welcome him into this new role. Mr Joubert is well known to the community as he currently serves as one of the deputy-principals at Fish Hoek High School. He is a Psychology Major from Stellenbosch University, with Honours in Education from the University of Cape Town. Mr Joubert has 22 years in education and has taught at Rondebosch Boys’ High School, Parklands College and Fish Hoek High School. He comes with 15 years of school management experience. Steve is married to Lilané and they have two sons, Roux and Innes.
After a long and intensive sifting and interview process which was concluded last year, we finally received notification from the WCED of his appointment last week. He is familiar with the Fish Hoek High traditions. He shares the values and ethos and is committed to our continued success and development. On commenting on his appointment, he has said –

Mr Joubert understands the need to balance academic excellence with sport, culture, service, as well as social and emotional wellbeing, in order to develop the full potential in learners.

We are grateful for her commitment and dedication to the school in what has been a challenging period in our history.
