What can the school and parents expect from your team this year?
An exciting and competitive game. The team has worked incredibly hard this year, and has shown incredible grit, tenacity, and determination. They play for each other, and for the honour of representing Paarl GHS. Above all else, I hope to see the girls enjoy every second of being on the pitch and being able to play hockey.

Where would you say is your team’s strength this year?
I would say our ‘never give up’ attitude is one of our strengths, which links up to our counter-attack ability.

What is the most difficult aspect of coaching a school team?
It will always be an honour and privilege to be able to coach a Paarl GHS team, as one works with incredible girls. As a first team coach, I would say the most difficult aspect is the pressure and to manage expectations, but that is part of the job.
