DHS tennis players, Isak Muller, Asande Kunene, Zimischke Snyman and Anuschka Slabbert with other players at Northern Natal High Schools Tennis Tournament on 13 August 2022
Cricket
It has been a busy few weeks so far for the cricket players at DHS. After three years without cricket, the gents were hungry to play. We are proud to report that the u/15 team won their first game against Newcastle High by 13 runs. The first cricket team won their first match against Newcastle by 9 wickets and their second match against St Dominic’s by 77 runs.
Tennis
Dundee High School took part in a tennis tournament which was organised by Northern Natal Tennis for High Schools on 13 August 2022. Asande Kunene and Isak Muller formed part of the boys’ team and Zemischke Snyman and Anuschka Slabbert represented the school as the girls’ team. Anuschka won 1 single against Ferrum and unfortunately lost against Grantleigh College after a tremendous effort.
Zemischke played extremely well and won both her single games against Ferrum and Grantleigh College. Unfortunately the boys lost their games but they put up a great fight. Everyone enjoyed the well organised day and the tennis players really had plenty of fun competing.
Soccer
The soccer season is in full swing. The most recent games were against Vryheid Landbou and it went extremely well. The first team boys won 4 – 1 and the second team also walked away victorious. The girls unfortunately lost their game but overall it was a fruitful day with lots of new friendships that were made and plenty of fun.
