AWSUM had a chat with Eli Busch, first team hockey captain of Stellenberg High School. We asked him about their season and what his expectations are for the game against Durbanville.

What is the highlight of your team’s this year?  Seeing how we have grown as a team from the start of the season till our latest game.

How do you motivate your team? By keeping the vibes high and to focus on the positive.

Who is your vice-captain and how does he support you? Christo du Plessis, he always supports my decisions and gives a different perspective to the team.

Are you happy with your team’s line-up for Interschools? Do you have any injuries in your team? There are a few injuries, but that won’t stop us from taking the win at Interschools.

What do you as a team want to achieve this year? What will make you proud?  As a team, our goal for the season is to win the league.

What are your plans for the future? My plan for the future is to advance my hockey career by playing overseas and hopefully making the SA men’s side.
